Corporate Retreats in North Jersey Host Your Next Team Day at Born to Run Farm

We get it. Another conference room, another projector, another catered lunch on the same breakroom table. Your team deserves better, and honestly, so do your goals for the day.

Born to Run Farm offers something different for your next corporate retreat in North Jersey. We're a working farm on top of Point Mountain in Glen Gardner, and we host team days that actually feel like a break from the office. You'll find mountain-top views, open-air spaces, and a setting where people relax enough to collaborate without the fluorescent buzz of a typical offsite.

When Your Team Needs More Than Four Walls

Corporate events work differently here. The Gerish family has run this farm since 1978, and we transformed it into an event venue in 2016 because we saw how people respond to this place. You can't force creativity or connection, but you can create the conditions for both. That's what happens when you move a meeting outside.

Spaces That Adapt to Your Agenda

You're not locked into one layout. We have a 40' x 100' tent with Edison bulb lighting, a chandelier, carpet flooring, and side walls when the weather shifts. There's also a 20' x 40' tent if you want breakout sessions or a separate dining area. You can use our 20 round tables and 240 white resin folding chairs for a seated program, or swap in our 20 farm tables for a more casual workshop setup.

If your agenda calls for a mix of structure and downtime, the outdoor lounge furniture works well for informal networking. The vintage horse trailer bar and wine barrel bar give you options for afternoon refreshments or an end-of-day celebration. We also have a fire pit if you want to close the retreat with s'mores and storytelling under the stars.

What a Team Day Looks Like on the Farm

Most groups arrive mid-morning. Our staff greets your team, handles golf cart shuttles if needed, and makes sure parking is smooth. From there, the day unfolds however you've designed it. Some teams run a structured agenda in the main tent, others split into small groups across the property for brainstorming sessions.

The farm itself becomes part of the experience. We have about 30 cows, a dozen sheep, 2 donkeys, and chickens wandering the property. None of them is going to market. They're here because this is a real working farm, and that authenticity matters. People take walks during breaks, gather by the pond, or just stand at the overlook, taking in the views. It's not a gimmick. It's a reset.

Service Without Hovering

Our team guides your planning process and stays on site during your event. We're family-run, which means you'll work directly with people who care about how your day goes. We handle the setup, the logistics, and the small fixes that come up. You focus on your team.

Corporate Retreats

We also include staff support, table setups, umbrellas if the sun gets strong, and a bathroom trailer for groups over 75. The goal is to remove friction so your agenda stays on track.

Bringing in Your Own Vendors

You choose your caterer, and we'll work with them. We have preferred vendors across categories like catering, entertainment, transportation, and event planning, but you're welcome to bring your own team. Flexibility matters when you're planning a corporate event, and we don't believe in forcing partnerships that don't fit your vision or budget.

One group brought in a local farm-to-table caterer for a sustainability-themed retreat. Another flew in a facilitator from the West Coast and needed AV support from a specific vendor. Both worked seamlessly because we adapt to your needs, not the other way around.

Why Glen Gardner Works for North Jersey Teams

Glen Gardner sits in Hunterdon County, accessible to teams coming from across North Jersey. You're not asking people to trek hours out of their way, but you're far enough from the office that it feels like an actual retreat. The drive itself becomes part of the transition from work mode to open conversation.

A reservation is necessary to view the property, so reach out before you finalize plans. We'll walk you through the space, talk through your vision, and make sure this venue aligns with what you're trying to accomplish. Call us at 973-349-0129, email Joseph@borntorunfarm.com, or request our corporate event pricing guide through our website.

Your team spends enough time in windowless rooms. Give them a day on a mountain top instead.
