When you drive up Mountain Top Road and see Point Mountain stretching out in front of you, something shifts. The rush of planning falls away. You remember why you're here in the first place.
We're Born to Run Farm, a family-run wedding venue in Glen Gardner, NJ. Jay and Joan Gerish bought this land in 1978 as a quiet retreat, a place to train horses and let the kids run free. In 2016, we opened our gates to couples, and we've been guiding people through their most important day ever since.
What Makes Our Mountain Top Wedding Venue Different
We've learned what matters after hosting couples here for nearly a decade. It's not about checking boxes or following trends. It's about creating a space where you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves, where your guests feel welcomed rather than herded, and where the setting does half the work for you. Here's what makes a wedding on Point Mountain different from anywhere else in North Jersey.
A Working Farm Where Love Grows Naturally
This is still a farm. You'll meet our 30 cows, a dozen sheep, 2 donkeys, and a crew of chickens who think they run the place. None of them is ever sent to market. They live out their days here, and guests love wandering the pastures or sneaking photos with the animals before the ceremony starts.
It's a detail couples mention again and again. Something is grounding about saying your vows while a donkey grazes nearby, something real about celebrating on land that's been worked and loved for decades.
Flexible Spaces That Fit Your Vision
You'll start your day in the bridal suite if you book our Dorothy package, a comfortable space where you can get ready without feeling rushed. Five hours before your wedding, it's yours.
The ceremony happens under our arbor, with benches and chairs set beside the pond. Behind you, the mountain views stretch across North Jersey. Your guests settle in. The moment feels open and intimate at once.
After vows, everyone moves to the cocktail hour. We set up wine barrel bars and a lounge vibe while you steal away for portraits. Then, as the sun drops lower, the reception begins inside our 40' x 100' tent. Edison bulb lighting glows overhead. The chandelier catches every laugh. The dance floor, 28' x 18', fills up fast.
If you choose our Elouise or Dorothy package, the vintage horse trailer bar becomes a centerpiece. People gather there all night. Farm tables give the space a rustic elegance that feels right at home on a mountain top.
Personal Guidance From a Family Who Cares
Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming. We get that. Our team walks you through every step, from your first site visit to the moment you drive away as newlyweds. You'll have staff support on the day, golf cart services to move between spaces, and a fire pit for those quiet late-night moments when the dancing winds down.

We work with preferred vendors across every category, from caterers and florists to photographers and event planners. You're free to bring in the team that fits your style, and we'll make sure everyone has what they need.
For weddings with over 75 guests, we bring in a bathroom trailer sized to your guest count. It's one less thing to worry about.
Why Couples Choose Glen Gardner for Their Wedding
Glen Gardner sits tucked into the hills of North Jersey, close enough for guests traveling from the city but far enough to feel like an escape. The air is cleaner here. The pace slows. Our 4.8 rating across 63 Google reviews reflects what couples tell us after the day is done: they felt taken care of, their guests felt welcome, and the setting made everything more beautiful.
We've hosted intimate gatherings and grand celebrations. The space adapts. Whether you're planning for 50 people or 200, the mountain views and open-air luxury pull everything together.
Your Day, Your Way
Every wedding here feels different because every couple is different. Some want long farm tables and wildflower arrangements. Others picture round tables and elegant centerpieces. You'll have round tables in 60" and 72" sizes, up to 240 white resin folding chairs, and options to add outdoor lounge furniture for a laid-back vibe.
We're here to make your vision happen, not to fit you into someone else's template.
When the sun sets over Point Mountain, and your first dance begins under the chandelier, you'll understand why couples keep choosing this spot. It's not just the views or the animals or the Edison bulbs. It's the feeling that you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
