You can spend months choosing your flowers, your dress, and your ceremony music. But here's what guests actually remember: the moment they walked up to a vintage horse trailer serving cocktails on a mountaintop at Born to Run Farm.
We added the vintage horse trailer bar to our Elouise package because couples kept asking us how to make their cocktail hour feel different. Not just pretty, but memorable in a way that felt authentic to the farm. The trailer sits alongside wine barrel bars during your cocktail hour, and it does exactly what we hoped it would. It stops people in their tracks.
Why This Isn't Just Another Bar Setup
The vintage horse trailer bar comes with The Elouise package, which also includes everything in our Daisy package plus 20 farm tables. You can also add it a la carte if you're customizing your day differently. Either way, it changes how your cocktail hour works.

Your bartender sets up inside the trailer. Guests gather around it the way they gather around the pond or near the fire pit, naturally. It creates a focal point that pulls people together without forcing them into a line or a crowd.
What It Looks Like on Your Wedding Day
The trailer sits in your cocktail hour space alongside the wine barrel bar and wine barrels we include in every package. You'll have your 40' x 100' tent with Edison bulb lighting and a chandelier nearby for your reception, and your ceremony site with an arbor set up wherever you choose on the property. The horse trailer becomes part of the flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner, not a separate attraction.
Our staff handles setup and support throughout the day, and golf cart services help move things along when needed. The trailer fits naturally into the mountain top views and the working farm atmosphere, the same scenery that captivated Jay and Joan Gerish when they bought this land back in 1978.
The Elouise Package and How It All Comes Together
The Elouise package includes the vintage horse trailer bar, 20 farm tables, and everything from The Daisy: your 40' x 100' tent with electric, Edison bulb lighting, carpet flooring, chandelier, and side walls, plus a 20' x 40' tent. You get 20 round tables in 60" and 72" sizes, 240 white resin folding chairs, and a 28' x 18' dance floor.
Your ceremony site comes with an arbor, chairs, and benches. Cocktail hour includes the wine barrel bar, wine barrels, and the horse trailer bar. Your reception bar is part of the package too, along with table numbers, umbrellas, a fire pit, parking area, and the bathroom trailer required for weddings over 75 guests.
The farm tables seat your guests for dinner in a way that feels less formal than rounds but still elegant. Pairs well with the mountain top setting and the fact that you're celebrating on a working farm with cows, sheep, donkeys, and chickens visible in the background.
Planning Your Cocktail Hour Around the Trailer
We guide you through planning from the moment you book. The trailer works with whatever catering and bar approach you choose. Our preferred vendor list includes caterers like WillowSage, Bex, Qcrew, Deli Boys, Logan's, and Cake Fiction, plus liquor distributors and other partners who know how to work with the space.
You're not locked into specific setups. The vintage horse trailer bar adapts to intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. Staff support is part of your package, so someone from our team is there to help things run smoothly while you focus on your guests.
What Guests Say About the Experience
Karen P. called it a "lovely venue by the pond, attentive staff, gorgeous sunset." Scott J. said "incredible location, so beautiful and well maintained." One couple shared, "had my wedding here this weekend, it was amazing! Great staff, stunning views."
The trailer shows up in photos constantly. It's one of those details people mention months later, along with the mountain top views and the fact that this is still a working farm where all the animals live full, happy lives.
Moving from Ceremony to Cocktail Hour to Reception
Your ceremony happens at the site with the arbor we provide. After you're married, guests move to the cocktail hour area where the vintage horse trailer bar and wine barrels are set up. Then everyone transitions into the tent with Edison bulb lighting and your chandelier for dinner and dancing.
Golf cart services help move things along when needed. Born to Run Farm’s staff makes sure each part flows into the next without awkward gaps or confusion. You've planned the details, we handle the logistics.
The Dorothy Package: If You Want More
If you're looking at The Elouise and thinking you'd like the bridal suite, outdoor lounge furniture, and an engagement photo session included, that's The Dorothy package. It has everything from The Elouise, including the vintage horse trailer bar, plus those additions. The bridal suite is available five hours before your wedding.
We also offer a la carte options if you're building something custom. The vintage horse trailer, bridal suite, farm tables, outdoor lounge furniture, and champagne wall can all be added separately, depending on what your day needs.
Start with a Visit
You'll need a reservation to see the property. We're at 129 Mountain Top Road in Glen Gardner, a family owned farm that Jay and Joan turned into a wedding venue in 2016 after decades of using it as their retreat and horse training space.

We'll walk you through the mountain top views, show you where the ceremony site goes, explain how the vintage horse trailer bar works during cocktail hour, and help you picture your day here. Every wedding we host is unique because we customize the setup to what you actually want, not what a template says you should have.
