There's something about standing on top of Point Mountain that changes how you see your wedding day. The valley spreads out below, the breeze carries through the open air, and suddenly you're not just planning an event. You're creating a memory in a place that feels like it was waiting for you.
We've been welcoming couples to Born to Run Farm since 2016, and every wedding here tells us something new about what romance really means. It's in the way a groom tears up when he sees his bride walk down the aisle with our cows grazing peacefully in the background. It's laughter during cocktail hour around the wine barrel bar while the sun dips behind the ridge. It's in those quiet moments when a couple steps away from their reception, looks out at the mountain top views, and realizes this is exactly what they hoped for.

Why Couples Choose Our Glen Gardner Venue for Their Love Story
When couples tell us why they chose Born to Run Farm, we hear the same themes over and over. They wanted scenery that didn't feel staged. They wanted a team that actually listened. They wanted flexibility with vendors and a space that could transform to match their vision, whether they were planning for 50 guests or 200. Most of all, they wanted a venue that felt personal, not like a wedding factory churning through events every weekend. That's what we've built here, and it shows in how each celebration unfolds.
A Setting That Speaks Without Words
Our farm sits on 129 Mountain Top Road in Glen Gardner, at the peak of Point Mountain. When Jay and Joan Gerish bought this land in 1978, they were captivated by the views. That same magnetism draws couples here today. You get scenery that doesn't need filters or heavy editing. The landscape does the work.
We're a functioning farm, home to about 30 cows, a dozen sheep, 2 donkeys, and chickens along with other barnyard animals. None of them is sent to the market. They live full, happy lives here, and they add an authenticity you won't find at a typical event space. Your guests can take in the mountain top setting, watch the animals, and feel genuinely connected to something real.
Spaces That Adapt to Your Vision
Romance looks different for every couple. Some of you want 75 guests gathered close. Others envision 200 people celebrating under café lights. We built our venue to flex with you.
Our main setup includes a 40 by 100 foot tent with Edison bulb lighting, a chandelier, carpet flooring, and side walls that keep you comfortable. There's a 20 by 40 foot tent for additional coverage, and a 28 by 18 foot dance floor where your first dance happens. The ceremony site has an arbor, benches, and chairs arranged so every guest has a clear view.
You move naturally from ceremony to cocktails to reception. The wine barrel bar and wine barrels give your cocktail hour a relaxed, farm forward feel. The reception bar keeps drinks flowing without long lines. A fire pit adds warmth as the evening cools. And when you have more than 75 guests, we bring in a bathroom trailer so no one's trekking far.
We offer three packages. The Daisy includes your tent setup, 20 round tables in 60 and 72 inch sizes, 240 white resin folding chairs, ceremony and cocktail spaces, and the dance floor. The Elouise adds 20 farm tables and a vintage horse trailer bar that makes for incredible photos. The Dorothy includes everything from the first two packages, plus a bridal suite available five hours before your wedding, outdoor lounge furniture for a laid back vibe, and an engagement photo session on the property.
If you're planning something smaller or want specific touches, we offer a la carte options. You can add the champagne wall, bridal suite, farm tables, outdoor lounge furniture, or the vintage horse trailer to select rentals.
Service That Feels Personal Because It Is
We're a family owned farm, and that shapes how we work with you. From your first inquiry to your last dance, our team guides you through each step. You're not handed a checklist and left to figure it out. We walk alongside you, answer questions as they come up, and help you make decisions that fit your style and budget.
Staff support is included in every package. We handle setup, coordinate timing, and make sure the flow feels seamless. Golf cart services help you and your vendors move around the property without hassle. Table numbers, umbrellas, and parking are all part of what we provide, so you're not scrambling to rent basics elsewhere.
Our approach is attentive without being overbearing. You'll hear from couples in our reviews that we're accommodating and great to work with. That's not marketing language. It's how we operate because we know this day matters deeply to you.
Flexibility With the People Who Bring Your Vision to Life
We work with preferred vendors across every category: caterers like WillowSage, Bex, Qcrew, Deli Boys, Logan's, and Cake Fiction; entertainment including Showoff, DJ Express, and Sound Explosion; photographers such as Janine Collette, MZ, BTR, and Wildflower; and florists like Bespoke, Solstice, Dutch Valley, and Popo. We also connect you with transportation options through GST and Metro Bus, rental support from GRST and Port-a-Bowl, and event planners including Made Simple, An Affair to Remember, and Hat Bar.
These are vendors who know the property and deliver consistently strong work. That said, you have flexibility. If you've got a caterer you love or a photographer you've worked with before, we're open to that conversation. The goal is a celebration that feels like yours, and sometimes that means bringing in people you already trust.
What It's Like to Celebrate Here
Your guests arrive and park easily on site. They walk toward the ceremony space, taking in the open air and the animals dotting the pasture. The arbor frames you perfectly as you exchange vows. After the ceremony, they head to cocktail hour where wine barrels and the vintage horse trailer bar create gathering spots. Conversation flows naturally when people are comfortable and the setting invites it.
The reception starts under the tent. The Edison bulbs and chandelier give off warm light as the sun sets. Your 20 round tables or farm tables are arranged so everyone feels included. The dance floor fills up quickly because there's an ease to the whole night. Later, some guests drift to the fire pit, drinks in hand, swapping stories about the day.
We've hosted intimate gatherings and grand celebrations. Both work beautifully here because the farm adapts. The bones of the venue are strong. You bring the details that make it unmistakably yours.
A Location That Extends the Celebration
Glen Gardner sits in Hunterdon County, and while we're tucked into the countryside, you're not far from conveniences. Couples often suggest nearby hotels like Town Suites and Courtyard Marriott for guests traveling in. The area has charm, and many couples turn their wedding into a weekend getaway for close family and friends.

Point Mountain itself is the landmark. The elevation gives you views that make every photo feel elevated. You don't need to scout ten locations for portraits. Walk a few steps in any direction and you've got a backdrop worth keeping.
