Born to Run Farm sits at 129 Mountain Top Road in Glen Gardner, on land Jay and Joan Gerish bought in 1978 as a family getaway and a place to train horses. It is still a working farm. Around thirty cows live here, along with a dozen sheep, two donkeys, chickens and a few other barnyard regulars, and none of them are ever sent to market. That is the setting your weekend gets built around, and it shapes everything from where people park to where they end up standing at the end of the night.

The Hours Before the Ceremony
Getting ready is its own small event, and it deserves more room than most couples give it. The bridal suite is available five hours before the wedding as part of The Dorothy package, and it can also be added a la carte. That window matters more than people expect. Hair, makeup, photos with your people, one quiet minute before the doors open. Golf cart services come with every wedding package, so nobody is hauling garment bags across a farm, and there is a parking area on site for the cars that start arriving early.
How the Day Moves From Ceremony to Last Song
Your ceremony happens at our ceremony site, where the arbor, chairs and benches are already in place. Cocktail hour follows, with a wine barrel bar and wine barrels for people to gather around, and if you have added the vintage horse trailer bar, that is usually where the crowd ends up. Dinner and dancing live under the 40 x 100 tent, which includes electric, Edison bulb lighting, carpet flooring, a chandelier and side walls, with a smaller 20 x 40 tent alongside it. Inside you have 20 round tables in 60 inch and 72 inch options, 240 white resin folding chairs, a reception bar and a 28 x 18 dance floor. Farm tables are an option too. When the music stops, the fire pit is where the last of your guests will be, and it comes with every wedding package.
What Comes With the Venue and What to Line Up Separately
Every wedding package includes six banquet tables, table numbers and umbrellas, staff support, golf cart services, the parking area and the fire pit. A bathroom trailer is part of it as well, and it is required for weddings with more than 75 guests, with the size set by your final count. For the rest, catering, entertainment, photography, florals, rentals, transportation, planners and hotels such as Town Suites and Courtyard Marriott, we keep a preferred vendors list we are glad to share. The best weekends here do not treat the farm as scenery. Guests wander over to see the cows. Kids go looking for the donkeys.
