Planning an outdoor farm wedding comes with a lot of moving parts. When couples book with us at Born to Run Farm, one of the first things we talk through together is the shape of the day. Not every wedding looks the same, but having a general framework makes everything feel more manageable. If you're getting married on Point Mountain in Glen Gardner, here's a timeline that works with the natural flow of our property and what's included in your package.
How a Wedding Day Flows at Born to Run Farm
The layout of our venue is part of what makes the day feel unhurried. From the bridal suite to the ceremony site to the reception tent, each space connects in a way that keeps guests comfortable, and the couple focused on what actually matters. We handle logistics quietly in the background, so you're not thinking about setup details when you should be getting ready.
Five Hours Before: Settle Into the Bridal Suite
The bridal suite opens five hours before the ceremony. That window gives you plenty of time to get ready without the rush, take some quiet photos with your people, and just breathe before the day takes off. Many couples use these early hours for a first look somewhere on the property, whether that's overlooking the mountain top views or along the pond.
Ceremony Time: Vows at the Arbor
Our ceremony site includes a dedicated arbor, chairs, and benches. The open-air setting on top of Point Mountain means your backdrop is all sky and farmland. We set this space up as part of your package, so it's ready when you are. If you're working with a photographer, this spot photographs beautifully in natural light, and golden hour portraits across the open pastures are something guests consistently mention long after the day is over.
Cocktail Hour: The Wine Barrel Bar
After the ceremony, guests move to the cocktail area while you take photos. The wine barrel bar setup is included in The Daisy package, and if you've booked The Elouise or above, the vintage horse trailer bar is part of the scene too. It becomes a natural gathering spot, and your guests stay comfortable with the umbrellas and banquet tables we provide throughout the property. Golf cart services are available for any guests who need them.

Reception Under the Tent
The main tent is 40 by 100 feet, with Edison bulb lighting, a chandelier, carpet flooring, and side walls. It holds 20 round tables in 60-inch and 72-inch options, along with 240 white resin folding chairs. The dance floor runs 28 by 18 feet, which gives guests real room to move. The chandelier and Edison bulbs together create a warm, evening glow that feels completely different from a traditional ballroom, and couples often say that's when the reception really comes to life.
Late Evening: Fire Pit and Wind Down
The fire pit is included with every wedding package. Once the reception winds down, it becomes its own gathering spot, a natural place for guests to linger, talk, and make the night last a little longer. It's a detail that sounds small but consistently becomes one of the most memorable parts of the evening.
Wrapping It All Up
No two weddings here run on the same clock, and that's intentional. We work around your priorities, your vendors, and the specific feel you're going for. Whether you're planning a smaller ceremony or a larger celebration, the spaces adapt. The team is on site throughout to keep things moving without making the day feel managed.
